Police appeal for information about Abbeymead robbery

A man was robbed in Abbeymead over the weekend.

The 27-year-old Gloucester man was approached by a man in his early to mid 20s in Heron Way at about 7.30pm on Sunday (August 26).

The attacker punched the victim in the face and several teenagers who were with the offender were then seen searching the victim.

A watch worth £40 was taken and the entire group ran off towards Morrisons supermarket.

The victim was left with a gash to the head and was treated in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

The main offender is described as having tanned skin and wearing a grey hooded top with yellow toggles and jogging bottoms.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about it should call 101, quoting incident 430 of August 26.
